I bought a set very nice got them very fast and when I got them the number came back on a search that they where DELPHI/RACETRONIX flow matched injectors...:)

Racetronix injectors are serialized so their flow data can be logged and tracked on our database for sorting. If there are no serial numbers engraved on your Delphi RP injectors then they were not flow-matched by Racetronix. If there are no unique markings on the injectors then one should seriously question whether or not they are flow-matched. We keep data on all sets so all one person has to do is e-mail us with the part number and a serial number off of one in the set and we can bring up the data on the other injectors in that set.

The tolerance on the 17113738 injectors seems to be getting worse with time so flow-matching them is imperative. Most people do not bother with these injectors anymore as they are very slow and usually underflow (<50lb/hr). Most people buy the Siemens / Mototron 60's now. It is a much faster injector, easier to tune and flows on average 63-65lb/hr static.

Re: GP: 50# injectors!!

I hope that no one is implying that my injectors are Racetronix units, because I never stated they were. These are BRAND NEW FLOW MATCHED DELPHI UNITS. I have sold many sets to board members here, with not so much as 1 complaint from anyone regarding these. I have sold plenty to local performance guys using them in vehicles from Camaros to Mustangs to even Silverado SS trucks - the latter of which I have personally converted 2 trucks to using these old-style injectors and had the trucks tuned to run them.

To those of you who have purchased injectors from me, I thank you for your business. To those of you thinking about doing business with me, ask around to the board members who have done business with me. I am not going to get into any kind of 'contest' here with anyone. I sell a product, just like many others here. If I am offering a product you want for a price you can afford, them we are both mutually benefitted.

As for the 50's, much time and effort has been invested by many board members to get a reliable tune for these injectors. The Ultimate chip was the first mass-produced chip for our trucks. It is still a very good unit for many people here. With the tuning abilities of Nolan, Phil, and a few others on here, these injectors have gone plenty fast (deep 11's), which is good enough for many here. While I will not disagree that the MOTRON 60's are a nice unit, the 50's are a tested unit, with an off-the-shelf chip (Ultimate), and should suffice for many out there.

For the record are you stating that all these RP injectors your are selling are all flow-matched to within 0.5g/s by your source at Delphi's factory?

Re: GP: 50# injectors!!

Once the injectors arrive from DELPHI, they are retested by an ex-DELPHI engineer, who also has his own injector flow bench. He is extremely knowledgeable in this field...he was responsible for many 'special' prototype injectors provided to auto manufacturers all over the world.

Alex,

What price can you get on new flow tested stock injectors? 50 Lps are great for racing but some of us have a fuel budget.

Flow-matching requires a large number (100's) of same size injector. They must be marked, flowed and grouped according to their flow data. This would mean each RP injector must be scribed with a unique # in order to keep track of them during the flow-matching process. Do your injectors have such identifiers on them? Does this person doing the FM process invest in thousands of dollars for each calibration of injector in order to provide this service?

Another point worth mentioning is that 0.5g/s on a 50lb/hr (6.4g/s) injector equates to an 8% spread in tolerance (4% on a 95# injector). This does not qualify as flow-matched although you claim your injectors are? The acceptable window of tolerance from the factory is 10% (+/-5%). Any reputable company marketing their injectors as FM typically provide injectors within 1-1.5% of each other. Racetronix, PTE and RC all provide injectors that are within a 1% window. The reasons for this spec. are well documented.

Most customers will never know the difference between a 1% FM and non-FM 8% injector. Unless a customer went to the trouble of placing a WBO2 or EGT on every cylinder they would never be able to see the cylinder to cylinder variance in A/F caused by non-FM injectors. In most cases the customer would just assume that they had reached the fine line between knock and max. HP when really it could be a number of cylinders running leaner than the others. It could also be at the cost of lost HP because the customer would have to richen up all 6 cylinders to compensate for the few leaner ones in order to prevent knock.

Chances are most of your customers are very happy with the injectors you have been selling. We are not here to debate this. Your prices are very competitive for out-of-the-box product. Most vendors charge $10.00 or more per FM injector. This price premium is a byproduct of having to sit on a vast amount of inventory and labor to come up with 1% matched injectors.

Please do not view this post as an attack on your business. We have been asked by some forum members to clarify what they have been reading here. Perhaps you can use this as an opportunity to clarify some technical information on the injectors you are marketing and bolster your sales?

I have a new contact locally that can get me a GP on these injectors. I just got 6 of them to verify they are the correct units. These are the High Impedance units, made by Rochester. The numbers stamped on the injectors are

3145
17113738

if I can get at least 4 sets of 6, I can get them for $250/6 plus $10 shipping and insurance. I plan on giving this a week or so, and then I'll let him know. He says he can have them within a week or so after I order them. He will build them to order (he works where they make them).

LMK.
