I was puliing my motor apart and when I got the oil pan off I didn't notice the N stamped in the main caps. They have a F and a arrow on one side and they are numbered on the other. I did a search and couldn't find any good pictires to see were the N is supose to be. Any help is app.

Well I pulled the rest of engine apart and got even more suprises. This isn't an original syty engine like I was told. The block isn't orginal. The engine has TRW pistons with 9.72 compression ratio( wonder if thats why it was knocking so bad) It has a Crane came part# 184111. The specs are

Advertised Exhaust Duration: 266
Advertised Duration: 256 int./266 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.407
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.429
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.407 int./0.429 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 112
Intake Valve Lash (in): 0.000
Exhaust Valve Lash (in): 0.000
Computer Controlled: Yes

Can someone please tell me if I should keep this cam or get a different one. I know I have to get diferent pistons. Thanks
