Where?? I will try to make it. Any chance you can help/guide me with a power steering pump change. and maybe a trans pan gasket? both are leaking. I need a puller for the pump?

Re: NorCal wrencher meet SAT NOV.4

I purchased a PTE60 Dual Ball Bearing and a 3" downpipe along with the needed ss braided oil fittings. This better do the trick. Stuff should be here Monday. Let me know which of you guys are interested in coming by so I can give you my address. Hopefully it'll be pretty easy for a couple of the locals to come by.

Branden, depending on what you have going on for Saturday night/Sunday morning, and depending on how the day goes, you'd be welcome to crash here. Especially if we get that thing running, maybe cruise out to Los Gatos or Santana Row or somethin.

I should be able to make it. Will Adam have his stuff too? Nice to see a few trucks together. I will wash my Sy this time and make sure the back is empty. A cruise afterwards sounds fun.

Sweet, I sure hope so, and I hope we'll be able to get mine all together so we can go for a little cruise.

Re: NorCal wrencher meet SAT NOV.4

you just have to drop a sy motor in it. I noticed today my truck is blowing a lot more smoke at startup. Looks like those heads might go on sooner then I thought.

I am thinking of pulling them off by myself and If I could ask for your help putting them back on. Even just if you guied me through it via e-mails. I have the heads and gaskets and ported intakes. I would love to do solid mounts too but I heard thats a lot of work.

if you have the heads and exhaust manifolds off, doing the mounts are breeze. i got some arp heads bolts if you want them, they can be yours for cheap.

Cool. I will take the bolts. just tell me how much. Should I go solid or polly mounts? I will try to get the stuff and when My garage is done I will take my truck apart...Again :(
We can talk more about this next weekend. That way you can show me first hand what I need to do. Thanks Q.S.

Re: NorCal wrencher meet SAT NOV.4

Do solid mounts and never do it again, or due the poly's and maybe have to do the super fun job again, but atleast you would have the practice from the first so it wont be as bad. :D

Rumor has it, it takes about 8ish hours if you go from the bottom, i'm going from the top and already have 8 hours into taking the motor and front differential out :(
