Gonna be ready by the 23rd of June :)?

Probably not unless hell freezes over. As George said I have ADHD worse than anybody.

Got drivers side off mill just now.

I know the fenders and core support fit. I suspect inner fenders will require lots of work or just all new ones.

Looking Good. I am glad you wondered out to the garage and got something done!

The only way that Typhoon is gonna get done this year is if you and Doobie put one of these in each downpipe:

Nah he is planning on the head gaskets leaking boost so bad that it will pressureize the coolant system. Thats why he is going to need the wastegate on the cooling system!

two questions:

what heads are you using?

do you think those turbo brackets are neccessary or just a good "extra" to have? It hard to tell in the pictures. I like them regardless.

The heads are old 041x castings. Not great but not the worse head either. The motor was never built for turbo's in mind originally, but I had it laying around from past projects and figured why not. If it blows up we will just go bigger.

Yes I think brackets are needed. Headers should not support the weight of any turbo. Sure they do that fine when cold, but heat headers up to 1500 deg and the strength of stainless starts to go down quickly. Now put 20lbs of crap on it (turbo) and things start to happen. Ever wonder 1 reason why headers crack? 321 stainless is a bit stronger at high temps but not the total answer either.

Daron is just jealous.

I had the GF over today helping on the ty. I have her convinced it needs to be done for nats just as bad as I want it done.
