Was fun. never been to TX. before. Got the flu on the last day. figgers. going from 10 deg. one day to 50's the next. & working in A cool moist garage does not help. I would love to come down there again.

Just got through reading the thread where you came down to Dallas. That's just crazy....can't believe you did that. Just awesome....lol

Those are the BFG Drag Radials....but they're the 295/35-18's in the front and 345/30-18's in the rear. Trust me...I can't wait to get it finished either...lol.

What size are the rims?

No rubbing with those tires?

Once again, great job. What a difference from when you bought it. It has really come back to life.

The rims are 18x9.5's in the front and 18x12's in the rear. No rubbing as of right now...but it hasn't been driven yet, just pushed around. I've got roughly about 3/8" between the frame and tires. But right now I've got the Flex-o-forms and Battle Bars on it. Our future plan is to go ahead and section the frame a little when we box the frame and we're building a triangulated four link for it. So we're going to give it more clearance because I do plan on driving this truck on all our local car meets throughout the weekend and even do a little autocrossing with it. I'm trying to build an all in one kind of truck. Plan on doing straightline, twisties and sling traffic...lol. So we're going to create a little more space in there. But atleast as it sits right now....it shows me what it will look like externally.... There are still quite a few things that will change underneath....

Bump for a really nice truck how much hp.

Thanks. This is from a previous post...not being an ass....just too lazy to type it again....lol.

That is awesome! What kinda hp you exspecting?

I started out building this thing with a goal of 1500 at the crank. We'll just have to see where it goes from there. I'm actually more worried about how I'm going to get everything planted and suspension tuned than I am the power of the motor. I feel pretty good about the power the motor will make.....but I'm definitely lacking the knowlegde on setting up suspensions. I'm guessing I'll be making good use of the car hauler and Cummins going back and forth to the track once it's together....lol. I would imagine that we'll get the motor tuned for max power......and then I'll have to back the boost way down and start working with the suspension....and just gradually work my way up. At least that's more or less the plan.

Well.....it's been a while. Amazing how fast time can go by. But after having a little bit of a meltdown and almost selling everything.....I decided to go ahead and make the next big purchase. I've been waiting a long time to get this in.... So I apologize if I look a little dorky with a shit eatin grin on my face....lol

I designed this intercooler to become part of the core support. Bell Intercoolers made it for me of some drawings that I had sent them. The core is 36" wide, 12" tall and 6" thick. Dual 3" inlets and a single 4" outlet. All the tanks are made from 3/16 plate along with the side plates and welded inside and out. They tested it to 50psi...which is I guess their standard test pressures with their standard thickness plate. I requested the 3/16" for some extra structual reasoning and said it should be good to more than 75psi. Don't worry....I have no intention of pushing it that hard....lol..All in all I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out....now just have to finish fabbing it in and get back to work on the truck....

Yes Yes.....I'm attempting to make up for other inadequacies.....lol....

Diggin the headlights. What are they?
Bought them off ebay....I'll see if I can find the link. Plan on taking the funky blue bulb out of them though.

I only wanted to have to build one intercooler. And with all the different things I would like to attempt to do with the truck and the amount of power I'm hoping to make with it for long durations of time....that's what I came up with. The height and width were pretty much already set for me when I started looking at the tubular core support. For a while it was a toss up between the 4" and 6" thickness. After discussing the capabilities of each....and the thought of attempting open road races I just ended up saying screw it and going with the 6".

Oh....and if I ever blow my 6 beyond reason....then I've thought about building an LSX next time around. Maybe seeing how far I can push one of those.

Dave,

Looks mighty impressive so far, will you still have enough room for the radiator/fan/condenser combo you had planned to run?

Re: Syclone #1900 - Project Resurrection...++

yea guys.....I've always had full intentions of putting all the coolers in the bed with their own fan assemblies. Engine radiator w/ condenser, oil cooler, tranny cooler, radiator overflow tank and meth tank are all going in the bed with. Hopefully soon I'll start setting all that in and posting the pics....

Mike...the intercooler shipped in at 98 pounds....but I figure the box and wrapping was probably 10-15 pounds. But yes....it is fricken heavy. Any weight I saved anywhere else....just got added back on...lol
