I can never tell if it's day or night from the pics since you are always indoors and seem to work on it 24/7

quick update...fabbed a battery tray on the driver's side...I custom made it for an optima red top battery...it fit perfect...i mounted the battery in the exact same location and position as the stock location except its on the other side...anyway, that meant doing something with the remote oil cooler setup and horn....the horn was a piece of cake...

so i sent the remote oil cooler setup to the rear of the vehicle...i mounted the filter housing outside the driver's side frame rail and the cooler over the rear differential...i used an old atr, intercooler, auxillary, well you know which one, also installed a 28000 btu tranny cooler under the bed as well to keep the tranny cool...

i decided to wait on the a2a for now, so i had to figure out a way to install the air2water over rpm sheetmetal valve covers...that went pretty smoothly...i custom made a bracket that bolts to the upper intake studs and installed the a2w ...i welded nuts to the bracket to help when r&r'ing the intercooler later....it came out really nice...i actually put the truck in gear finally  ...spooled her up a little ...wow that stealth 70 turbo really whistles ...especially with just my homemade 3" downpipe and no muffler...i can't believe such a little thing like that gave me such a big sense of accomplishment...she went into gear :drinking: woohoo....

wow, i have so very little to go here that i think i better go slow and take my time now...she sounds very snappy and mean... :evilbat: not even a peep of an oil or water leak...i can actually make a list now of stuff i need to do to finish...if i tried to make a list before, it would be 200 pages worth...if i really tried, i could work on it for 1 full day and 1 full all nighter and she'd be done...

the truck drives now with no strings or wires attached... and i did the all day and all nighter thing again last night and the only things left to do are:

1. install a/c canister thing (the one that goes by the downpipe)
2. install battery strap onto battery tray and tighten
3. run a vac hose from plenum to brake booster (brakes work, just a little tight)
4. plug wires (mine look like crap)
5. some kind of cobra elbow for the turbo and fab an intake setup
6. drive to the exhaust shop and get the rest of the exhaust done
7. situate and organize vacuum lines and some underhood wiring
8. clean, clean, clean and repolish upper intake and valve covers

BTW
the original positive cable for our trucks perfectly reached the battery at its new location...

here are some pics of the new oil cooling setup and dirty engine compartment....

Nice work. Where did you mount the oil filter? It doesn't look like it is in the stock location.

thanks...i went with daryl H's suggestion...driver's side, under the cab on the outside of the framerail...i circulated the lines to a hayden cooler under the bed...i only had to make four lines and it free'd up major room where my battery is now...

ok, i've put 136.1 miles on him/her (i want to call her a her, but she runs like a he)....holy damn!!!! i'm running these bolt-on L35 heads, nolans cam, and a stealth70(thanks again marty).....nobody told me that i was going to get a kick in the ass at 3250rpm....   the truck is getting better every time i go out in it.....it's like punching it on a fast 1 liter crotch rocket....   .... i haven't totally floored it yet....but you don't have to floor it to think "oh sh!t".... the motor's actually getting smoother and more powerful as the miles go by....it sounds bitchin and runs twice as bitching.....thanks everyone for making the syty info and proven combo's available here....i still need to figure out why i get punched in the ass at 3250 rpm....it feels like a two stroke 500 dirtbike when it hits the powerband...i'm :D :D right now, if you can't tell.....more to come.....

Can you post some finished pics of it all polished outside and maybe a movie of it running or launching?

Congrats, seems like you did a real nice job on it.

here are some pics i just took of the truck...there's major dust stuck to it but you can't really tell from the pics...it has 300 miles on it now  ....still running stock injectors and chip, so if i accelerate more than half throttle, i pick up a little knock...it still hauls ass even at that...i have a set of 72's that i need to install...i guess that would also be a good time to learn how to use the romulator and tunercat... :D

been a while since my last update....gathered the necessary stuff for a vortec head conversion...locally contracted out every aspect of it and hope to have it together in the next couple of days....decided to do this project at home...excuse all the dirtyness under the hood...i'll detail it later, just want to get it running....also shot a comparison photo of the stealth and a stocker...stealth doesn't look too much bigger in overall size except for the impeller....also a pic of the battery tray mod....basically a 3/4 inch deep box for the battery and three homemade brackets...one to the fender, inner well, and radiator support...i even used existing holes...still not 100% finished with that mod...
