Matt W.... To purchase it I think it's around 500.00. It give you the ability to licence and tune 4 different GM Vehicles. (unlimited amout of times each) OBD2 only.

Now.. it cost's me 100.00 to put on another vehicle and tune it as many times as I want since I've already exceeded the 4vehicles.
I've done everything from a LS1 truck to a 2008 Durimax Deisel. You'd be amazed how much the transmission pressure changes makes it feel like a shift kit. It's great for everything really but that one you notice ALOT.

Even though you love the 98 pcm you could always go to a 99 or even an 02 ls style and get even better features and results

I've setup a 99 Blazer with the Marine intake but didn't see much differenece in the options.

What else did they enable on the newer ECU's?

Without going back and looking again I think it comes down to when you switch to a custom O/S and do like a 3 bar conversion. I know the newer computer have more space for add-ons like that. Also, I know with the guys wanting to make huge power that they run out of room with the 98 computer. I have plans to repin a vortec harness with a black box computer to a 0411 style and remember wanting to use a 99 or 02 ecu. If ya get bored there is more than a ton of info on it over at ls1tech

I'll check that site when I have time... It'd be nice to be able to do that if I decide to want more power for the truck later on.
Sure is nice to have that option if I need it.
