Having used almost every editing software from promgrammer, tunercat, etc. I finally have come across one I like.

Sure there are advantages to each, and any good tuner will have several tools.

The nice thing is tunerpro does both datalogging, and tuning.

I will say the datalogging doesn't have some of the features datamaster does, in terms of 1/4 mile calculation, hp, etc. It does have some nice big configured #'s you can select, and have turn red if they get out of hand.

For example I have knock set to turn red at anything more than 5 deg. Nice when driving by yourself.

Registration is $30, although you can use it without paying is just a nice thanks to Mark the author.

when you connect, sometimes you need to send the silence ecm command a bunch of times. Mark is working on that issue. Not a big deal really.

If anybody has any suggestions on the software itself, shoot them Mark's way.

If anybody has any suggestions for layout of ADS, or XDF file, how things are layed out, wish list for data, etc. I will do my best to adjust things.

Combine this with the Cable from PPI Typhoon and the Ostrich and G1 Adaptor from www.moates.net and you have real time tuning ability on the fly, no hiccup's.

Ostrich can be unplugged from laptop and still be run in the truck.

Anybody wanting to get feel for truck, should get a cable and software.

Then when your ready to actually burn your own chips, it is all the same software.

looks great !! I checked it out briefly this morning....has about a million constants, but everything is well organized in easy to understand groups.... so i guess the only way to datalog a WBo2 at this point is to purchase the autoprom? i've been meaning to get one in the usb version to use my newer laptop for tuning...kinda pricey, but it does it all and also comes with a registered copy of tunerpro RT....great work, thanks....

There is a hack you can do to the chip, that allows you to feed to wb o2 into the stock ecm.

I actually have it renamed WB o2 I believe already.

F14 pin, if memory is correct.

Maybe someone can find the info and post here.

so will Tools -> advanced ->hex editor

All I got to say is Jeffs XDF and ADS file kicks some ass. It is some much easier to see what tables do what then the way they were before all ordered by offset. Now if Mark could get our ECM to connect a lot easier that would be nice.

There are several WBo2 hacks for our chips that Turbodig did depending on what brand of WBo2 you have. They are all set to use the F14 pin on the ECM as an input. They are setup to either use a formula if your WBo2 has linear output like PLX, Tech Edge 2.x, etc. or a table if it is nonlinear like DIY, FJO, etc. Just go to this site and download the patch for your appropriate brand.

Run the patcher on your bin and your set. WBo2 data will now show up in the datastream in the AFR Target field. I helped test the patches for Dig and he did an awesome job.

Now, if you don't want to patch the bins, you can do what I did when I was testing the patches. I have the Autoprom and I wired my Linear WBo2, Electronic Fuel Pressure and EGT gauges to the 3 A/D inputs of the Autoprom. I then added those fields to Tunerpro to be logged. When I was testing the patches I could make sure they were working by looking at the Target AFR in the ALDL and the A/D input on the Autoprom. I am currently logging FP, EGT and WBo2 in Tunerpro. (That is if I could connect in Autoprom Mode, sometimes I can sometimes I can't. Again Mark is working on it.) I keep the WBo2 input in pin F14 on the ECM so datamaster can log it if I don't have my Autoprom hooked up.

Anyway.... Tunerpro 4.x will rock when Mark adds the "Bubble" to see where you are at in a table when your truck is running. Hopefully, it will be like FAST if he can get it working. That will be sweet.

I ran the wires to the ecm up into the back of my glovebox, now I can just open my glove box and plug into the ostrich to tune, pretty sweet. I also have the rotary switcher unit to let me stack bins and switch between them on the fly, just need a little time to get it working right. It defaults back to bin 0 (of 16) when unplugged so I'm thinking I can make bin 0 start my truck but not get over 1500 rpm and unplug it if I want to leave my truck idling for some reason or as a theft deterrent.

Soon you will be able to change the bins on the fly with the ostrich in TunerPro 4.0. I have seen it on Mark's test bench. The check engine light doesn't even come on. It is killer. I think Mark said you can have 2 bins in the ostrich... Don't remember.

suggestion if it isnt included already, we should 'version' these things so its easy to tell if you have an old or new one

Paul is putting a date new version is posted on NWSTP.

I guess we could use the version info in tunerpro also, as it does exist.

the "difference tool" (ctrl-T) as well as the "compare" function are cool to play around with.....i have a small collection of bins to compare and can see exactly what changes have been made to a particular bin from stock, ect.....sometimes the difference tool locks up while searching though....i get best results when i select "limit search to defined items only".....invisibill has a collection of different "stock" syty bins that I've compared to each other....interesting to see the changes that gm made as they went along.....

Mark found a major problem with the XDF file. The end chip address was incorrectly set to 7FFF (32k sized chip) in the XDF Header info so it would cause Tuner Pro to crash when saving the bin. It should have been 3FFF (16k bin).

Please download the new file to correct it. He is going to add a message letting you know that you have an invalid chip size. So make sure you download the newest 4.x beta.

I'm assuming he's fixing the bug or adding features. Does anyone know if he plans to put them back up?

Thank you, sir. Got to dig out my old win98 laptop. It should be fast enough to run it. It crashes on windows XP at startup.
