$200 + ($10 shipping in US)

I will blast, weld the intake (3/8" added on top) as well as 4 additional water passage spots that are prone to leak, followed by re-machining both mating surfaces and true them back up. And of course ship it back to you.

1 week turn-around from when I get it. If it goes over a week, I will start refunding $.

Re: Vortec Intake Conversion

Jeff.. are you going to homecoming in June? If so, are you cool if I send the lower intake to you, then I can just pick it up at homecoming? If you are not attending homecoming.. what would it be shipped back to Canada?

Re: Vortec Intake Conversion

Yes, it appears I will be attending home coming, so pickup/delivery there is very possible.

No $10 shipping that way either if I deliver.

I wish I had a spare setup of stuff to ship to you ... I cant take it off my truck and have my truck be inoperable. Bummer :( ---

Re: Vortec Intake Conversion

you drill the heads too?

I have, but I think you get a better job mocking it all up on the block itself.

Add in shipping heads back and forth and it gets expensive.

I do have a drill jig I could lend out for location if a few wanted. I could even add drill bushings to it to help do it by hand.

I might be able to locate a spare and do an exchange deal if people need, that would reduce it to immediate turn-around.

Re: Vortec Intake Conversion

Yeah, hes a good guy ... I asked for a whole bunch of extra work and he didnt hesitate to say he would help , but thought I could get it done by my engine builder easier ---

Re: Vortec Intake Conversion

The $25 is to push myself as much as anything. I am far from perfect though, but thanks for compliments.

last night I had one of our new members email about vortec mod, I kindly let them know as a new member I would not suggest it. The fact is I am here because I like these trucks for some strange reason. My therapist still doesn't get it either and has me on meds for it but they are not working obviously.

Members like you are very rare.Having been on a few other forumns, most guys just think about putting as much money into their own pockets and not caring about helping others with less knowledge and maybe short on cash, nice to see you offering to help others out.

It would be nice if there was an affordable way to mod the Edelbrock manifold for fuel injection.

The marine manifold would do, but it is cast iron

Re: Vortec Intake Conversion

If someone is interested in an edelbrock fuel injection conversion I could do that also, won't be a 1 week turnaround but just about all the same tools are used.

Just a quick bump as its end of month for those that might have missed it before.

I may leave this open a bit longer, just see how my schedule goes in terms of time to do more.

Re: Vortec Intake Conversion

Some pics of your work might get more people interested. Im thinkin some people would like to see the craftsmanship before they let someone do surgery on their intake set.

"Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are"

Seriously though. If you have to question anything Jeff has done or will do, then you obviously do not know Jeff. If you don't know Jeff, then you have not been around this board. If you have not been around this board, you prob. should not be doing a Vortec swap.

I don't know you and you don't know me but I see you have been a member since 06. Do you know Jeff? Have you seen Jeff's truck? Do you know of Jeff's truck? If not, search for his build thread. There are plenty pics of his work there. Search for his input shaft thread so see what he went thru to help other members. He is not doing intakes to make a $killing or to make his mortgage payment. He has alot on his plate and can't keep his machine setup for intakes forever. He has other stuff to do. I am sure it was just a friendly reminder to once again, help members of this board.
