You are right. You dont no who I am. And have no need to look through the board on vortec setups, I know what needs to be done. And This is the first time I have personally seen him put this out since I havent been looking to do the conversion untill lately. Iv seen pics of butchered intakes and iv seen what it cost to have it done right. So being that you have been a member since 02 and your location is fondeling yourself at your computer figured you might no where im coming from. Im not trying to be a dick to Jeff. I dont let no one touch my toys, so why wouldnt I want proof of craftsmanship. And im sure im not the only one that would care to no.

I have Jeff Intake. Half way down the page has porting pictures and I cleaned up the welds a little. Sorry I don't have untouch pictures. It doesn't look like 100% but it doesn't look a like back yard hack either.

So you aren't trying to be a dick to Jeff but yet you call him out for proof of "craftsmanship" and you obviously don't know who he is and you didn't take the time to find out (you'd rather just write back to bash me rather than find out about someone that has helped more people on this board than you have helped your entire life). Your ignorance is obvious (as is your spelling ability ((actually your lack of), improper grammar, sentence structure and lack of word knowledge). You also obviously did not pay attention to what I asked/suggested. Take what little brain power you have and search for the build thread for Jeff's truck. You will see his "craftsmanship" right in that thread. Yes sir, with you own two eyes, right there in the photos. Custom made brackets for the turbo's, headers and a bunch of other stuff too. Just a few clicks of the mouse and all your info will be right in front of you. I have faith in you. You can do it. You can also find info on his recently installed roll bar setup, his 4 link setup for others, his Code59 tuning capabilities, how he flew across the country for a weekend engine swap to help a friend. You might also run across his educational background and the degree that he holds and what he does for a living. I double dog dare you to take the time and find out for yourself.
The bottom line is that he has obviously been around (and more obviously you have not) this board, SyTy's and has helped many. Take a little bit of initiative and obtain the information rather than being a lazy douche and advising the guy he should put up some type of "proof of craftsmanship" just to satisfy your curiosity. Then go crawl back under your rock.
BTW, who are these other people that you are so sure of that also "would care to no". Are there others as ignorant as you?

x2. Alot of the imports use manifold gaskets. So i dont see why this wont help. Mine leaks...
Lastly, based on this post, I can assume that you have a JSM dp. Do you know who made it and what is your opinion of the "craftsmanship"?

Wow I missed all the fun while I was at the TN meet. I leave for a weekend and the board goes to hell.
Damnit, I was going to ask what brand of spark plugs I should run also. Any suggestions?
As a side note I did post pics before I even read this thread, detailing out every step I go through to do an intake mod for those that have the tools or friends with tools and would rather do it themself. BTW the pics show TurboJ91's actual intake.
Keith, you have to drill the heads to match the older style bolt pattern our lower intakes have. I do have a template I have used, but due to cost of shipping heads around the US I am looking at upgrading that template a bit more so it can be rented out to people that feel comfortable drilling and tapping a set of heads.
And to answer 92ty178's question, yes I have been around awhile, probably too long. Been to every syty nats except the first, have I think 3 now most innovative mod awards (2 nats, 1 homecoming). I would say 80% maybe more of the regular board members personally know who I am and have for awhile. If you go by post count I am #9 right now I think, and I don't just post to post.

Jeff, Right now i have drilled and tapped vortec heads with an unmodded intake with stock gaskets and a huge amount of RTV for the front and rear seal.
I'm wondering if i get a modded intake will it match up to the drilled and tapped holes that i already have and sit low enough so i don't have to use a ton of RTV on the front and rear. Or could you add some material to the front and rear of the intake to make up some of the difference.

I would have to see it but most likely yes. If its not bad minimal to no extra since I am already in there welding in that area. I would make it fair.
