Not really, all of this takes a lot of time. I've resumed my work in these though. It's pretty time consuming trying to figure out all the tricks on molding these things. While I was able to pull a part from that mold, I still have 13 other molds to figure out. So it won't be done overnight.

I'll post updates when I have made certain strides in the project.

Re: Finally have a mold for making urethane cladding

Thanks guys. I have to admit that it's pretty challenging. I've made so many molds now, it's rather confusing. As long as there is a need for it, I'll keep plugging away. Currently I'm just refinishing my cladding that I'm using so I can make a blemish-free mold. Since my cladding has little rock chips here and there, some cracking, I'd rather not make another mold with them just so I can refinish the piece that comes out. I'd rather the pieces come out. I just talked to the engineer at my job and we both agreed on a few points that will strengthen the cladding in areas of the mounting, such as the ends of the wheel arches and the mounting tabs. I'm not sure why the cladding tabs are tapered at the base, but I'm working on molding them with the tabs, but NEW tabs made of thicker material with a better connection at the base. So we'll see. It's fun at times............stressful at others. But I love a challenge. ;)

Member Adam Auerbach aka, "ivanko barbell", should get in contact with you regarding the wide body fenders that he got from recently from Shaun Palmer's truck...

Re: Finally have a mold for making urethane cladding

After spending a ZILLION dollars on replacing my cladding I still have issues with cracks in my front bumper cover WTF. I think the front bumper cover is just too flexable. HELP!
