Finally got Plx dm5 wb in last night and did some runs today... Starting off was at 48psi pressure with vac line off, during wot gauge read 10ish to rich.. Started bumping down the pressure a bit, now I'm at wot 10.8, cruising 45mph with 13.5ish reading... And idle is 19ish with a horrible idle... Any advice on what to do? I have a Tt chip but have not played with any of the dials or knobs in it, running 18psi of boost on 93oct and have no knock.. Mods are in sig.

Re: Got wb finally, tuning issues

Just cruising around today watching wb... I noticed I could pull up to light and wb would read 14ish... Drive 3 min and get to another light and it's reading 18ish... Next light was 16ish to 17... So my af is all messed up... Also this is constant, while accelerating from a stop in any gear with no boost, between 2100 to 2500 I go super lean.. Starting off easy it's about 13ish, hit that rpm range and it shoots up to 17- saying lean, then back down to the 13ish it was.. I also feel the truck kinda lag out when this happens... A member on here says my tb might me leaking internally somewhere where I cant see with vac inner tube test..

its lean & under idle and cruising without boost or load its good or saving gas.
its when you wot or start low boosting (load) that number better go 10-12 and hold.
10.8 cruising is blowing gas out the tailpipe.
(i hope a good tuner chimes in here),

whats it do under a boost building brake launch without following through fully?10-12?

Need to see some data. Could be a simple adjustment.

Re: Got wb finally, tuning issues

If you have a cable, you can also use Tunerpro5. I have a definition file taylored for the chip if you want to try that.

Re: Got wb finally, tuning issues

i tried loading the definition file into TP5 and it would not accept it. We were going to log John's truck through the scanmaster, but the def file would not load.

Re: Got wb finally, tuning issues

I have 2 different ADX files, one for the Scanmaster and a different one if you plug directly into the ALDL port.

Here's a zip with both of them: www.turbotweak.com/adxvelosyty.zip

Let me know if you have problems with it. They work ok here.

Eric

Re: Got wb finally, tuning issues

Maybe the file is corrupted. Did you originally download it from my support forum? Maybe I should zip that one. When you get a chance, try the one I attached here and see if you get the same error.
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Got wb finally, tuning issues

Ok, unfortunately I can't get much info from those runs since there is no wideband connected, and the stock O2 sensor is dead (or disconnected). Did you connect your wideband to the ECM?
Since the stock O2 is not working, it never goes into closed loop, which may be at least some of the problem.

Eric

Re: Got wb finally, tuning issues

I have the 2 wires running into the ports on the ECM like one of the installs I found on here.. How do I prevent the non closed loop? Or what do you suggest

Re: Got wb finally, tuning issues

Can you describe exactly what wires from the PLX are going to what pins at the ECM? Sounds like something isn't getting the right signal.
