OddFire v6 Blow thru e85

Tell me I am not stupid.
I got the fresh 18* oddfire v6 and this junk syclone and I want to put them two together.

The V6 got an oddfire distributor and oddfire msd 6t box. Its 12 -1 compression, if convert to wet sump it should ready to run.

I am thinking to change the head gasket and bring it down to 11-1, not sure how much boost can run on this compression.

The other option is to go efi, I have a BS3 which can be convert to oddfire but I will need " an even fire crank trigger wheel with 2 wire pickup and a hall effect cam signal" which I can't find any info on.

Rock it Denny! Leave the compression where it is, C-16, and keep an eye out on the tune-up! You will definitely piss some people off with that combo!

What does the top of the intake look like? I would like to see some pictures of that!

You could go either way it looks like to me...

Blow through carb on alcohol + boost is a very fickle combination. If the tuneup is not right on, you will be hurting parts very often. We don't offer bt carbs for any alcohol builds here because of that reason. On race fuel - no sweat.

Re: OddFire v6 Blow thru e85

to answer the original question. speaking from experience...

With c16 and dfi I seem to recall about 26psi at that compression.
Of course cam, and cam timing and good heads and intake will play a bit of a part.

Nice to see ya Ed!!!! I miss your posts... :(

He should buy my Gen7 Accel DFI and have Harry help him tune it!

Code what?
Your not stupid, put it to use. Nothing like doing a budget combo with parts sitting around the shop collecting dust.

Harry's not to bad with BS3 either

That manifold would be easy to convert to EFI. It also looks like there are a few plates that you could use to have a "hat" made for it! Just like the one I sold to Jack...

Or one Wilson like...

EFI is for the big ballers, If I hit 10.9 one time and I will be happy. :)

This is the cam card via text message.

Can I use it or do I need to change it ?

Re: OddFire v6 Blow thru e85

I decided to go EFI BS3.

Not many with oddfire, actually only one person I know of with a running oddfire.

Doing everything myself, keeping everything as is and only changing the things so it can run.
Not too confident this will work but at least I will try and if fail I will have a bowtie block and 18deg heads for my next build.

Already done –
Converted to wetsump - Program machine the rear cap for oil pump. Stock oil pan is on.
Drilled a hole for dipstick, kind of crooked but the dip stick is in.
BS3- updated for Oddfire
MSD dist - set for cam sync.
Crank trigger kit
Intake converted to EFI – got rails and 160 lbs injectors

Need to do -
Convert my RPM 23 deg headers – to 18 deg be changing the flange.

Stock trans and fuel system for now to save time and money.

Had the BS3 on my typhoon, the ty now have a HTP multi chip.

I have RPM crank trigger kit and also have a msd 6 oddfire box.

I believe I have everything needed to get it running.
