Yes, Sean. I did borrow this from your myspace video post. It's nice to see you're on Syty as well. Did you ever post this here? If not, why?

Contrary to some beliefs, I've always maintained that the drive-train was installed and complete at GM, not PAS. But it appears that a lot more parts are on the truck than I thought when it leaves Pontiac Assembly: Seats, wheels, cladding buttons. The host is a douchenozzle, but that was very interesting stuff. Thanks for the link.

John Koss told me that the "Typhoon" package was just a RPO on the Jimmy assembly line.

If the Jimmy was a Typhoon, all the parts would arrive there to make it one.

PAS designed the conversion,PWA built it.

Did not ask what was put on @ PAS,but IMO the trucks were 95% complete coming off the line.

He said the turbo was disabled for the dyno testing at the end of the line because early in production one "got away and smashed into a girder "

I picked dudes brain for 2 hours(dude is a helluva nice guy BTW)

He loves them, answered all my questions, and totally enjoyed the free cold beer,as did I.

It would be interesting to find out what the actual process was.

The differences in GM ship date to PAS (final)ship date vary wildly, from 1 to more than 20. The final QC was done at PAS, apparently.

I remember the Truckin' USA episode from the air date.... man, it's been a long time.

The fact that they had such a big segment on what was a bit of a hayseed truck show, kinda shows the lackluster marketing attention that was given. Ed Bruce (A Country singer of the time) didn't exactly fit the Syclone/Typhoon image.
