rig a bleed off valve for your wastegate like maybe something off a ice box water line kit. if you bleed off the signal pressure the waste gate will not see full pressure. It only takes a little. It might be good to laern your ride better first. Beins how you seem to be just getting the feel...

I think, mill the top where the lettering is and the mounting bosses just enough to bring a shine and square them up. Then get it cleared to make cleanup easy.
