Mad Max wow, looks different..
Hey Robert, Soon to be back on the road, Nice. Are you going to finish the truck in the style that the guy started or make your own changes to it ? Still a T-56 in it ?
Mad Max would be proud!

was the blower under driven or over driven to compensate for the turbo?
It is deffinately OVERdriven. The blower is a very long story...
we have time
I was afraid of that....
Here's the short version, Previous owner was a machining guru. Turbo dies and is replaced w/ diesel turbo w/ WAY wrong trim (freebie). Spool time was like 5 seconds or something. Owner of truck has Ford Lightning blower laying around (another long story) along w/ some big chunks of aluminum. Dude gets laid off and still has access to Bridgeport milling machine.
So here's the situation...
1. Wrong turbo
2. Turbo lag from Hell
3. Guy is a genius
4. Happens to be a blower in the floor
5. Loses his job and has lots of free time.
Hence, blower gets put on to generate an instant 6 psi thus increasing exhaust gas flow and reducing lag time.
I never said it was a good idea...:rotf::rotf::rotf:
wasn't there some crack involved as well?
