Re: Shaved Sy --rebuild thread

Definitely not shaving all the cladding. Just keeping it off until the truck is 98% complete.

MSD box mount is made. All aluminum is cut and fitted. Now its time for a whole bunch of polishing.

I saw the truck yesterday and it is looking amazing. Apparently photography is not his strong suit cause the pictures don't do it any justice. Good job buddy:tup:

Re: Shaved Sy --rebuild thread

why does it look like your gas tank hangs down a foot from the rear cladding?

I doesn't hang down a foot, the rear cladding isn't on the truck yet. Here is a pic of what the fuel setup looked like before all the body work was done. I have lifted it another 1.5" since this pic I will have another tank made if it hits the ground.

Re: Shaved Sy --rebuild thread

Thinking I am going to be throwing in the towel on finishing the Sy myself. My season is about to hit and I lose way to much $$ working on this truck. I have kicked my best friend out of my house and my life and he was the main one working on it with me so it's time to hand it off too some professionals to finish. I am packing up the truck tomorrow and getting a detailed ledger together to email to the extremely talented and bad ass individuals that will most likely be finishing the truck for me for an estimate. I will keep you posted as to what is going on but the Sy is taking up to much of my time and after only driving a total of 250 miles in the last 4 years I just really want to feel a 550hp boost launch. Before the truck leaves I plan on finishing the interior with custom dash, bed, front clip, and sanding and re-clearing the entire truck.

I want to finish it but I dont really want to do the wiring and I am missing out on so many big $$$ jobs effing with this money pit, so off it goes.

Who's it going to? What state are you in?

I'll give you a hint. I talked to one of the owners last night and he told me that they were almost done with your truck. I told him I want to see pics, asap. I am in FL.

Just a little shiny update...... I love shiny stuff.
These parts look amazing and it wasn't very expensive at all considering. By the way the alternator is 200 amps now.

Re: Shaved Sy --rebuild thread

I sent it to John at A1 truck. The alternator was about $150 to have wrapped to 200amps and polished. The water pump was about $60 I believe.
