gjp said:module... uh...no. I did a comp test when I first had the missing but it was not that bad. I remember they were in the high 140's to low 160's. I had all the plugs out when I did it. Vaccume is constant at idle. Around 19hg. on 91 I still will get a spike of 5* then it would drop down to 2-3*. Jeremy has been e-mail me to help out.
I did the cap, rotor and replaced the plug on #1 ( it look good this time when I pulled it of) It started good and idled for 10-15 min. I went around with a piece of hose looking for any odd sounds. After 15 min of idle it started to miss again. First it would pop only once a few seconds. Then more and more. Over a 10 min time it would prety much pop 2-3 times a second. The idle will bounce around. I listened again. All Around and in the pcv hose, around each injector,... I heard nothing different this time but the sounds comming out the exhaust. Oil looks good, almost to good. It looks to clean for a 95k engine. but it only had 10 miles on a fresh change.
I have to apologize for this long tread. I know all these posts are driving some guys nuts. I also would like to thank the guys helping me out. You have all been a real help. I have learned so much in the past few months. THANK YOU.
gjp said:I figure If I get a new dist. it comes with a module. module is 40$ and a whole new dist. from napa is 135$. Would it cause a bad idle when warm. My truck is very specific. When coold I can boost to 18psi and no missfire. As soon as its been running for 10+ min. all hell breaks loose.
Here is something I was thinking today at work. Could it be my plugs. I am running ur6's to help with KR. Could they be too cold and fouling up. All the plugs however look white on the tips with black around the outer part.
